Verzonken in gepeins, ik moet linksachter zijn.

Boekje pakken… bladeren…. prijs? Boekje terugleggen.
Mmmmm, wat is dat?

treasury for typophiles” (Ohio, 1963), interessant onderwerp maar wel een
pocketuitgave, toch een beetje jammer…
Hoewel, aan de achterzijde lees ik in kleine lettertjes: “This book is sewn for durability”.
Ongetwijfeld; de bladzijden zitten nog stevig in de kaft.
Een “collection of over forty articles, excerpts,
and essays by the foremost practitioners of the art of bookmaking, this is a
treasury of wisdom and wit to delight typophiles and bibliophiles…”. Ben ik een ‘typofiel’? Beetje wel… in ieder geval een
bibliofiel.

titelpagina heeft iemand zijn naam gezet...
Zo te zien niet de samensteller of één van de auteurs. Waarschijnlijk de voormalige eigenaar.
Ben ik nooit zo blij mee en die naam 'E. Thorn Leeson. Februari 1964.' zegt me zo niks...
Opvallend keurig, haast kalligrafisch, handschrift, dat wel. Komt
erudiet over, duidelijk een typofiel! Zou me niks verbazen als het toch een bekend iemand is…
Kost dat? Twee euro… laat ik het maar meenemen.
